Considering that the validity of Decree No. 42/2020 was 30 days and taking in account that new contagions continue to occur, the Presidency of the Government of Equatorial Guinea Order dated 14 April 2020 extended the measures in said decree, as well as the establishment of new ones.

The main measures are the following:

• The State of Health Alarm is extended for 15 more days;
• The circulation of vehicles and people between the District of the entire Insular Region is suspended until 30 of April 2020. All the Districts of the Island Region are placed in isolation, prohibiting the flows of people and vehicles from one district to another;
• Authorization from the Prime Minister must be requested for the circulation of vehicles of companies transporting materials for infrastructure works and services. Upon its granting, the General Director of Traffic will be instructed for the issuance of the same. Said vehicles may not carry personnel on board2;
• Full isolation of people is ordered, their exit to the streets is prohibited, except for situations of urgent need or force majeure, such as travel to Health Centres, markets or pharmacies, and to their work places, in which case they must permanently wear masks and gloves and carry a credential issued by the President of the Neighbourhood Community authorizing these departures, which shall be free of charge;
• All companies are urged to grant their employees accreditations that justify their commutation to go to work;
• All shops, stores, factories are closed during this 15-day period, except for supermarkets, markets exclusively for food sales, grocery stores, laundries or pressing, pharmacies and clinics;
• All restaurants and bars are closed; being able to dispense food only through home delivery;
• The clinics are obliged to transfer their patients who show symptoms of fever, cough and respiratory distress to the reference hospitals in the country, according to the indications of the Technical Committee.
